We have been gathering a great collection of donations from our beautiful city. We have spa package, dinners from local restaurants and a whole slew of goodies for our silent auction and door prizes.

To help keep everyone informed on our Mardi Gras Dinner and Dance, here is our schedule of events.

If you still don’t have your tickets they are on sale now and you can pick them up at the All Saints Catholic School office at 2700 North Kentucky Avenue Roswell, NM 88201-5814 for $35.00 per person. You can also call All Saints Catholic School office at (575) 627-5744 for more information.

It’s that time again. Mardi Gras is getting closer and All Saints is making preparations for its big Annual Mardi Gras Dinner and Dance. March 1st marks the 20th anniversary of the event and that makes this year a pretty big deal.

We’re going to be pulling out all the stops. Everything is going to bolder, bigger and better so we hope your ready. If you’re not ready – get ready before March 1st because a 20th only happens once, or at least once every 20 years.

We’ve already begun collecting door prizes and silent auction items. Twincorner art+design will be helping with the decorations and of course one of the originators of the event DJ Louise Najar will be providing the music.

You may have about a month and a half before the event but tickets being sold now and they are moving fast. You don’t want to get left out so you might want to get yours now.

After a very close election race this past Saturday a final winning couple was announced. Adam and Cassi Rincon were crowned the new King and Queen of this year’s Mardi Gras Dinner and Dance. Our new royals were elected through the very determined efforts of their family and friends.

Although the new young royals were very honored to be awarded the thrown, they were even more amazed that they had somehow won against the very loved Deacon Howard and Liz Herring. The election was something of a shock because the Herrings were the favorite win. You can see just how close the election was.

It is possible that Adam’s rugged good looks, honorable demeanor and obvious distinction put them over the top.

With only a day to go, All Saints is still receiving donations from a very supportive and generous community. An up and coming designer has donated some time and talent to benefit the school.

Crowbar Creations’, Shilo Halvorson has donated her custom-made seat covers to be placed in our silent auction. These, along with a huge number of other donations promise to make this year’s silent auction a great success.

We have some fantastic news. The local Home Depot has given us an amazing donation for our King Cake Drawing. We have in our possession a Brinkmann Dual Function 3-Burner Propane Gas / Charcoal Grill and Smoker.

Thank you Home Depot, and thank you to Home Depot’s store manager Curtis Gordon. Thank you, thank you.

This wonderful donation will be used as the prize for the King Cake Drawing. If you are unfamiliar with the tradition of King Cake, checkout our King Cake page and get the details.

The basic idea is: eat some cake and if you find the baby inside you could be the very lucky winner of this smoker. It’s that simple.

So, this Saturday night when you come to All Saints 19th Annual Mardi Gras Dinner and Dance, remember to wear your dancing shoes and a mask so you can be entered into the Mardi Gras Mask Drawing. Bring a little extra cash for the silent auction and the King and Queen Election and while you’re enjoying your dinner don’t forget to leave room for some King Cake.

We’re still getting more donations from businesses and private donors for our silent auction, king cake drawing and door prizes.

Here is a little taste of some of the generosity we have been blessed with.

An amazing Nambé bowl donated by Mary Rincon and Gertrude Ramirez of Mary’s Drop-a-tot Daycare Center.

A beautiful wall clock donated from Bullocks Jewelry.

And a Roku2 donated from Twincorner Art + Design, to be used for the Mardi Gras Mask Drawing. All you have to do is show up to the event with a Mardi Gras mask and you could win this one. We have been receiving more and more donations from local businesses all over Roswell. Ballard Funeral Home has been very generous with a cash donation to help with some of the event cost, and Bullock’s Jewelry always donates something amazing and beautiful. It’s always exciting to see what the generosity of the community can provide to the school.

We also received the donation of advertising from JS Ward & Son. They purchased us some ad space in the Roswell Daily Record last Sunday.

The ad will also be in this coming Sunday’s paper so keep an eye out for it. Maybe give Marianne a call and let her know what a great job she is doing.
